We find the answer in the Bible which is the manual for our lives and is filled with the truth from God. If you’ve ever wondered to yourself “what is my identity in Christ?’’ you are in the right place and will find answers in this post.
The Truth of our Identity Comes from our Creator
Personal identity is one of the most important aspects to comprehend about ourselves. Knowing who we are, what makes us angry, and what truly makes us happy are important things to identify because they influence everything else.
We are so quick to identify our identity with our roles in life or our personality traits. All of these things are a part of who you are, but your core identity, your identity in Christ, is unchangeable. We find our true identity in our Creator.
God created us on purpose and for a purpose. He alone has the authority to speak into our identities. God’s Word is filled with his affirmation and approval of our worth and value. God’s Word contains the powerful truth about who we are in Christ, which we should read and meditate in our everyday life.

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” – Romans 12:4–5 NIV

Christ gives us the strength to accomplish all things, but we must first strive to complete all tasks in accordance with His will.
While this does not imply that we are free to do as we please, it does imply that we will be empowered by Christ to persevere in the work to which He has called us.

He guides us, convicts us of sin, helps us understand and apply the Word of God, and communicates our prayers to our Heavenly Father from within.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” – Romans 8:38–39 NLT
We all want to be loved, and Satan will do everything he can to keep us from feeling that way. The more unloved we feel, the more we dislike ourselves, struggle to love others. Remember that God loves you always.
It gives us great confidence, encouragement and comfort to know that there is nothing that will ever separate us from God’s love that we find in his Son Jesus. He has given us his amazing unconditional love.

Jesus does not need to judge you or your choices. When He died on the cross, the price had already been paid.
Forgiveness is just waiting for you to accept it. No matter what we have done in our lives, the Son of God has granted us forgiveness through his death and resurrection.
God’s grace and unconditional love allows us to experience eternal life one day in his presence when we choose to believe in him, his power, and his promises.

In this verse, he begs for the kind of protection that only God can provide, reminding us that just as a mother bird covers her young under her wings, so does God cover us. He has a cherished kind of love for us.
The world is always changing its opinion on who we should be and how we should live, but we don’t have to continue to change who we are to fit in with what the world says we should be in the moment.
We can stand firm in our identity because the Bible will never change. God will never change and neither will his love for us.
Because of who we are in Christ, we have a heavenly Father, a big, loving family, and the knowledge that we live in another kingdom and not this one.
